A man actually CAUGHT FIRE in the operating room -- and oddly, that's not what killed him

Binge drinking is up (and drinking and driving, too) -- could it be because of the shitty economy? Naaaaaah...

Yesterday, my hero for the day was a Republican from Ohio. Good job, Voinovich.

Revenge of the Sith to premeire at Cannes. Daaaaamn.

Next step: Re-establishing debtor's prisons

The rest of the animal was served on Mystery Meat Monday

More Congressional idiocy...
***UPDATED***: Thanks to donewaiting.com (where I found and stole the link), you can read an excellent analysis of the Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005 over at Publick Knowledge. To say that this is yet another chilling chapter in our First Amendment history would be an understatement. It's going to be a FEDERAL crime to bring a camera into a movie theater. F-E-D-E-R-A-L. And not it's going to be not only legal, but encouraged, to make technology that strips previously made and rated entertainment of so-called objectionable or obscene content? What about the artistic integrity of the work? This is from the same assholes who CLOTHED a statue of Justice because they were frightened by her boob. C'MON, PEOPLE!!!

Even China's joining the anti-piracy fight...

Waste and Fraud at the TSA? Next you'll be telling me that Homeland Security is a total scam too...
